<p>Obsessed with Spielberg and Tom Hanks&#8217; <em>Masters of the Air</em> on Apple TV right now? The beady eyed among you may recognise Heston&#8217;s <a href="https://www.hindsheadbray.com/news-and-events/masters-of-the-air-in-bray/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hind&#8217;s Head</a> as one of the stars of the show. The interiors of the groovy boozer in Bray saw a blast from the past, transformed back into its 1940s heyday and served as the 100th Bomb Group&#8217;s<strong> </strong>pit stop for a couple of pints. Afterwards, they even had a friendly skirmish with the British along Church Lane. Cheers to that. </p>

<p>Order, order! <a href="https://www.thebeehivewhitewaltham.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Beehive</a> in White Waltham recently had the pleasure of wining and dining ex-Prime Minister Teresa May who dropped by for a cheeky Valentine&#8217;s Day lunch with her husband Philip. Saucy.</p>

<p>In our last <a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/things-to-do/latest-news/superflashy-hot-new-openings-and-celeb-spots-across-berkshire/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Superflash</a>, we reported Judi Dench was coming to the The Mill at Sonning in April. Turns out, Dame Judi can&#8217;t get enough of Berkshire. Hot off the presses, she&#8217;ll also be making an appearance at <a href="https://www.watermill.org.uk/judi-dench" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Watermill Theatre</a> on Fri 10 May for a thought-provoking chat with actor and director&nbsp;Brendan O’Hea, all to raise money to support the indie theatre. <p><a href="https://whatsonreading.com/venues/hexagon/whats-on/katherine-ryan-battleaxe" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Katherine Ryan</a> has just announced a brand new show happening at The Hexagon in Reading this November (9) as part of her big UK and European tour. Katherine&#8217;s been a hotshot on the box recently with countless sidesplitting credits to her name, so no doubt her return to the stage will be a corker.</p>

<p>We&#8217;re mega fans of <a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/pubs-inns/review-the-dew-drop-inn-hurley-muddy-stilettos/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Dew Drop Inn</a> in Hurley, headed by Michelin star chef Simon Bonwick. We reviewed his glorious gastropub back in October, but it turns out we weren&#8217;t the only ones who thought it was pretty damn special. Simon&#8217;s deer fillet steamed on string with a ‘really rather nice’ rowanberry sauce has been deemed one of the <a href="https://guide.michelin.com/gb/en/article/michelin-guide-ceremony/the-michelin-inspectors-most-memorable-dishes-of-the-year-2023-2024" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Michelin Guide&#8217;s</a> most memorable meals of 2023-2024, who were nuts about the tender, melt-in-the-mouth meat, and rich, flavoursome sauce. Delish.</p>

<p>A brand new café and bar called <a href="https://thelounges.co.uk/pineto/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pineto Lounge</a> is set to open on Mar 13 in Bracknell, taking the place of the former Prezzo. The all-day dining destination will serve everything from brunch, lunch, tapas, and dinner, plus a fab drinks list, and they will even have board games, toys for the littlens, and refreshments for four-pawed friends too.</p>

<p>Woooooo! After a much anticipated wait, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/plateatno.6/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Plate at No.6</a> is officially reopening. They had a soft launch on Fri 8 Mar, and now they are ready to swing open their doors to the public once again. Tapas here we come.</p>



<p>Over at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/henrystreetgardencentre/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Henry Street Garden Centre</a> in Arborfield, renovation work is due to start on a new, trendy outdoor dining space, set to officially open in the summer. Nothing like al fresco dining when the sun actually decides to make an appearance. We can&#8217;t wait.</p>

<p>Is Berkshire the UK&#8217;s happiest county? It so happens it just well could be. A recent study by GoSmokeFree into the happiest areas of the UK revealed three of the top five places were in Berkshire. Wokingham came in at number 2 thanks to its economic vitality and environmental sustainability, meanwhile West Berkshire was number 4, and Bracknell Forest number 5. &#8216;Appy days.</p>
