<p>Sooo many new foodie destinations open this month and we&#8217;re totally here for it. Over in Maidenhead, after months of DIYing, trendy Indian street food restaurant <a href="https://bombaystory.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bombay Story</a> is finally flinging open its doors on Fri 29 Mar &#8211; just in time for Good Friday (great Friday if you ask us). It&#8217;s the launch of their second location following the huge success of their original Wokingham eatery and we can&#8217;t wait to cop a taste. Find them in the Waterside Quarter.</p>



<p>Arriba! More street food where that came from over in Newbury with the opening of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/pachangasmexican/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pachangas</a> &#8211; a Mexican turning up the heat to full on 17 Market Place. Expect all the good goods like tacos, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas and nachos, although I&#8217;m already shamelessly eyeing up the sharing platter (just for me, obvs).</p>

<p>For your coffee fix, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/olacoffeecouk?igsh=NGlqcWcyeHc5ZGY0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ola Coffee Co</a> in Twyford should keep you afloat. It officially opened a few weeks ago at the Bia Hub and serves up a delicious menu of farm to fork, locally sourced brunch options, fresh cakes and pastries, and decent brews. Family, cyclist, and dog-friendly.</p>



<p>Berkshire has a brilliant and booming craft brew culture and it&#8217;s only set to get bigger with the announcement that <a href="https://www.sirencraftbrew.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Siren Craft Brew</a> have officially begun work on their brand new and first flagship bar in the centre of Reading. It&#8217;s set to open in May, bringing more than 30 lines of brewery fresh beer to the town centre, just a stone&#8217;s throw from the station. I. Can&#8217;t. Wait.</p>

<p>Say hello to Wokingham&#8217;s newest glam hub &#8211; a vision in pink (it&#8217;s practically Barbie&#8217;s dream house). Run don&#8217;t walk to Holme Grange Craft Village and book an appointment at <a href="https://www.makeupbycatherinetaylor.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Catherine Taylor Hair &amp; Beauty</a> salon. Instagrammable doesn&#8217;t even cover it with statement 3D feather and floral walls, a pink disco ball entrance area, floor to ceiling mirrors, and marbled flooring. There&#8217;s everything from hairdressing, make-up, facials, waxing, laser hair removal, and children&#8217;s pamper parties. And if they did adult pamper parties, no joking when I say I&#8217;d be first in line.</p>



<p>We&#8217;re delighted to learn that after a short hiatus, <a href="https://www.the-halfway-inn.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Halfway Inn</a> in Newbury has reopened this month and they&#8217;ve even had a swanky little glow-up. Expect more of the things you know and love with a brand-new menu stacked with seasonal pub classics, plus a range of award-winning Badger Beer from Dorset. </p>

<p>Did you catch <a href="https://www.dorchestercollection.com/ascot/coworth-park/dining/woven-by-adam-smith" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Coworth Park&#8217;s</a> chef Adam Smith on the box recently? He did Berkshire proud on BBC&#8217;s <em>The Great British Menu</em>, getting all the way to the banquet grand final with his showstopping fish dish. Although he was just pipped at the post by plant-based chef Kirk Haworth for the champion title, we tip our chef&#8217;s hat to Adam for his outstanding effort.</p>

<p>The man, the myth, and the legend behind the TV show <em>Man v. Food</em>, Adam Richman, jetted over from the USA to our very own corner of the earth in Eton last September to film his brand new show <em>Adam Richman Eats Britain</em>. He selected <a href="https://www.georgeinn-eton.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The George</a> as one of his pitstops where he tried their unique twist on the Eton Mess &#8211; the legendary dish which they&#8217;re famous for. Yum. See the pub become the star of the show when it airs on Discovery Plus on Mon 8 Apr. </p>

<p>Hot off the presses, Muddy fave <a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/restaurants/review-thames-lido-reading/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Thames Lido</a> has announced it is launching a series of collaborative ‘four hands’ events where they will welcome local restaurants, chefs, and suppliers to celebrate the seasons with tempting tasting menus. The first one with TV chef and owner of Bray’s Caldesi in Campagna, Giancarlo, sold out within a day. But be rapid when tickets for the next one with Hundred Hills Winery (23 Apr) get released. A stunning 5 course meal celebrating the changing of the seasons, each paired with one of their exquisite sparkling wines for £55pp. Keep your eyes on their <a href="https://www.instagram.com/thameslido/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">socials</a> for announcements.</p>

<p>We&#8217;re gutted to learn <a href="https://www.narrowboatreading.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Narrowboat</a> pub in Reading is closing its doors to the public at the end of March, having only opened last summer. Sobs. The beautifully decorated Fuller&#8217;s site (formerly a biscuit factory) will be turned into a space for development and training, but we&#8217;re going to miss all their incredible and quirky events, especially on their stationary riverboat space.</p>



<p>Another sad closure follows in Reading with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/workhousecoffee/?g=5" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Workhouse Coffee</a> &#8211; an award winning speciality coffee shop on King St &#8211; shutting shop on 1 Apr. An emotional Instagram post revealed the difficult decision came after rising costs and increasing business pressures, although their original store on Oxford Rd will remain open so silver linings thankfully. We wish the team lots of Muddy love.</p>
