Well, Coppa Club at <a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/travel/uk/hotel-and-inns/great-house-sonning-berkshire/">The Great House</a> in Sonning for a start &#8211; a fun, funky, riverside hotel with a super laid-back restaurant. Coppa is a big pull locally offering a casual dining experience that caters for all ages and tastes. It’s an all-day dining kinda situation where you can choose from juicy steaks, pizza, fresh pasta (for a starter!), and seasonal salads. Pssst, the puds are to die for.</p>

<p>For full on gastro glory, head to The Belgian Arms in Holyport. They recently came in at number 80 on The Estrella Damm top gastropubs list and for good reason. It&#8217;s an idyllic village pub serving fuss-free British classics, enjoying a stellar location and a menu that shines. Just try not to drool.</p>

<p>The Boxford (from the whizzy team behind nearby fine dining destination <a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/review-the-woodspeen-restaurant-newbury-nerkshire/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Woodspeen</a>) only opened in November last year. It’s a chill all-day dining destination type sitch with cooked breakfasts and fresh pastries in the morning, and sourdough pizza served bubbling from their modern pizza oven, plus a whole host of other tantalising Italian dishes for the rest. Plenty of options for mini diners and casual drinkers too. The perfect Monday pick-me-up.</p>

New chef Richard Monk is bringing the fire to the kitchen and has tweaked the menu to offer crowd-pleasing elevated pub classics with a gastro twist. The Kentucky Fried Pheasant (pictured) is a stroke of genius and the beautiful walks on the doorstep are essential to strutting off your food coma. Dog-friendly too!</p>

<p>Also open on a Monday is Gilbey&#8217;s Bar and Restaurant on Eton high street. It&#8217;s family-run, having been serving five star slap-up nosh since 1975 so you&#8217;d like to think they have the art of destination dining down to a tee. The food style is modern British and only the best local and seasonal ingredients are used &#8211; think succulent pork belly, seared scallops, and apple tarte tatin. A great place for celebrating those tricky Monday birthdays.</p>

<p>Lots to love here. This award-winning riverside Reading restaurant, owned by Chef Paul Clerehugh, gives all diners the chance to sink their teeth into something delicious. The wild mushroom, truffle &amp; mozzarella risotto cakes, and monkfish king prawn &amp; sweet potato rendang sound amaaaazing.</p>

<p>We’re big fans of the swanky, freshly renovated interiors of <a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/pubs-inns/review-the-foundry-bell-wokingham-berkshire/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Foundry Bell</a>. Sink back into the snug seating areas in both the bar area and restaurant which welcomes well-behaved pooches (they may even swoop a treat if they’re extra good). There’s plenty of drink choice for refuelling – over 95 bottles of wine, cocktails, draft beers and ciders, plus local craft ales. That should keep you going for a while. I&#8217;m a big fan of the sharing platters for serious munchie quenching.</p>

<p>Family-run Lusso is the place to go for a delicious artisan sourdough pizza but be warned – you are strongly advised to leave room for their delicious gelato. The coffee is highly recommended too or, if you fancy something stronger, try a winter mojito made with dark spiced rum and ginger.</p>

<p>Deep in the heart of the bucolic countryside, you’ll find sanctuary at The Crab &amp; Boar – somewhere you would hanker to be on a frosty winter’s night, but love to hang when the sun decides to show its mug. The food is top notch, championing locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce. <p>The pizzas here will get you hot under the collar. It’s gourmet baby with fresh homemade dough proved for at least 24 hours. Grab a vegan sausage option or maybe salami piccante. Although, the wild mushroom and truffle is the way to my heart. There&#8217;s pasta, salads, and other classic Italian dishes too. Plus interior design mavens will appreciate the interior goodies. The velvet backed chairs, herringbone flooring, and gaudy prints are chefs kiss.</p>

<p>Monday is the new Friday. Okay fine, it was worth a try. Nothing quite sets you up for the week ahead than some scoffing and quaffing at your local wine bar. Chego&#8217;s is one of the newer kids on the block having opened in Nov 2023. Enjoy charcuterie grazing boards, cheese fondue, baked camembert and lots of smaller tapas bits with a side order of one stonking wine list. </p>
