<p>There&#8217;s so many gorgeous cafés in Berkshire to take your pick of. But The Collective in Caversham is up there as one of the best. It won a Muddy Award three years on the trot and for good reason. We love the homemade cake, sourdough toasties, and good coffee, but the only thing that beats people watching from the pavement is hitting the slouchy seating in the covered rear garden &#8211; a little slice of Eden. It&#8217;s truly a place that encourages going slow and savouring a moment.</p>

<p>Yep, clue&#8217;s in the name. This stunning local café is home to a bucolic courtyard that just screams for a latte in the sun. The Courtyard is a haven after you&#8217;ve shopped until you&#8217;ve dropped on the busy Sunninghill high street. Expect delish breaky, brunch, and lunch options, including all your usual suspects, and more. But it&#8217;s their freshly prepared hot ciabattas that have me hot under the collar. Go for Cajun Chicken or The Courtyard Club, although the classic Fish Fingers is hard to resist. There&#8217;s freshly baked cakes, plus a menu to go should time be of the essence.</p>

<p>Not so much a courtyard, but one gorgeous outside patio with stonking countryside views, I&#8217;m a big fan of the café at Cobbs Farm Shop in Englefield (you can <a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/cafes/review-brunch-at-cobbs-at-englefield-berkshire/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">read my full review</a> here). Laid back and with a strong farm to fork ethos ensures your treat is guilt-free and fresh as it comes.&nbsp;The menu is legendary – simple but utterly delicious –&nbsp;offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, a cheeky Sunday lunch and plenty of coffee, cocktails, tea and cake in between.</p>

<p>There&#8217;s nowhere else you&#8217;d want to be on a blazing hot day than Honesty Tally Ho in Winkfield. Honesty are known for their fresher than fresh cakes, brilliant brunch, and friendly service. As one of their newer locations, this coffee shop was built from scratch, joining two shipping containers and has a large decking area, aka the ideal spot for outdoor scoffing. In the warmer months on Fri and Sat lunchtimes there is a super popular Argentine asado offering of grilled meats and vegetables that&#8217;s not to be missed.&nbsp;Add this to your cute cafés in Berkshire hitlist pronto.</p>

<p>It doesn’t get more locally grown than this. Head to the chicest spot in town at&nbsp;Malverleys Farm and Dining&nbsp;where unique and delicious nosh is made using seasonal produce from the market garden. Farmhouse-core is taken to a new level with exposed brick and wood married to create a plush interior. Coffees and teas, as well as a variety of swoonworthy small plates can be enjoyed on the long bakery table or the sun trap terrace outside. They don’t take bookings though so hop down quicker than you can say caffeine to nab a table.</p>
