<p>Hold onto your Santa hats &#8211; the kids are going to be in for one big ol&#8217; festive treat that&#8217;s even better than a chocolate bunny. On Sat 23 Dec they&#8217;ll be spoilt for choice with a whole host of fun to enjoy throughout the day. Free face painting, arts and crafts, and pony rides for a start. Say hello to Santa&#8217;s reindeer as they rest before their huge night of deliveries just days later, plus so many more surprises on the day. And if there&#8217;s anything that&#8217;s bound to get you feeling merry, it&#8217;s the fact kids go totally free with a paying adult. Cheers to that.</p>

Beelining it for the tracks with his sleigh of raucous reindeer, the Big Man himself will be cropping up here, there, and everywhere on Sat 23 only to delight kids with story time, singing, meet and greets, and more. Spreading festive cheer by the sack load, keep your eyes peeled both on and off the track for magical encounters.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s not Christmas unless you&#8217;ve belted out a dodgy rendition of Silent Night. Thankfully, the Ascot Brass Band are anything but substandard and will be setting up shop in the Grandstand for a spot of traditional candlelit Christmas carols for all to sing-along too. Hm, hm, we&#8217;ll start warming up the chords now.</p>

From scrumptious mince pies to comforting hot chocolate, there are plenty of treats on offer to quench your festive cravings. A cracking deal on the cards with kids eating for £5 at selected outlets. Two days of festive revelry await, starting on Friday where a quality jumps card takes centre stage. Channelling the Grinch&#8217;s energy, the legendary long-distance Howden Long Walk Hurdle will be stealing the limelight on Saturday in a yuletide showdown you won&#8217;t want to miss. We. Can&#8217;t. Wait.</p>
