If you&#8217;re a foodie or wino *ahem* I mean wine lover, you&#8217;ll know and love <a href="http://www.the-vineyard.co.uk/Back-to-the-Vine.asp" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Vineyard in Stockcross</a> (near Newbury) – and later this month it will be popping corks and streamers to celebrate its 20th birthday. I&#8217;ve heard whispers of a little celebration, or rather the mother of all gastronomic parties – 7 chefs, 7 nights. But not just any chefs they&#8217;re only like the Top Gun of cooks and they all have history in this kitchen.
Each star will return to The Vineyard for one night only, serving a special tasting menu and the sommelier has been busy tasting the 30,000 bottles in the wine cellar *hic* to make sure each dish is perfectly paired. I&#8217;m so excited I feel like stripping down to my control pants and flashing my spare tyre.
Those of you who, like me, habitually hanker after something unique, urbane and glamorous in the region, will snaffle the opportunity to tuck in your starched napkin for Nathan Outlaw, John Campbell, Matt Gillan, Shay Cooper, Daniel Galmiche, Richard Davies and Billy Reid – with a constellation of Michelin stars to their names. I know, it’s awesome, right?! All we need is Tom Hardy jumping out of a cake, and you can stick a fork in me, I&#8217;m done. So much talent, so little time.
If you&#8217;ve not been, The Vineyard is an incredible place to visit in its own right, but with guest chefs, special tasting menu, phenomenal wine selections and a party atmosphere, it&#8217;s THE place to be for an unforgettable foodie experience. I can’t wait.

Shay Cooper is the master of uncomplicated, British cookery. Having worked in some fancy kitchens – Juniper in Altrincham, The Vineyard, Devon&#8217;s Endsleigh Hotel – Shay bagged a Michelin star for the Queen&#8217;s fave The Goring – its first ever in the hotel&#8217;s 100 year history.

Tuesday 26 June: Nathan Outlaw (now at Restaurant Nathan Outlaw, Port Isaac)
He&#8217;s called the King of Fish (cover your ears Rick Stein), Nathan Law has worked with Stein, Gary Rhodes and John Campbell. He now holds 4 Michelin stars across his empire with two restaurants in Port Isaac (home to Doc Martin), one in Rock, London and Dubai.

Matt&#8217;s Michelin  magic was honed at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Midsummer House and The Vineyard. He was awarded a star at The Pass at South Lodge, and opened his debut restaurant Pike &amp; Pine in Brighton last year.

Thursday 28 June: Richard Davies (now at  The Conservatory at Calcot Manor)
Richard cut his teeth with the likes of Gordon Ramsay at three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and John Campbell at The Vineyard, before earning himself a Michelin star at the Manor House hotel in Wiltshire. He&#8217;s known for comfort food with class at The Conservatory.

Daniel Glamiche&#8217;s CV is oozes luxury and Michelin stars. He may not have a big neon sign saying &#8216;freakin&#8217; talented&#8217; but Daniel quietly delivers the goods wherever he hangs his apron from La Gavrouche, Cliveden House, Harvey&#8217;s in Bristol via The Vineyard and now The Gore in Kensington.

Sunday 1 July: Billy Reid (now at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa, Marlow, Bucks)
Billy has a minimalist, simplistic style of cooking, with a focus on creating modern, original British food using the best ingredients. Taught by the Roux Brothers, he was Head Chef at Marco Pierre White&#8217;s L&#8217;Escargot , was only the 2nd Executive Chef to be appointed at The Vineyard and you&#8217;ll now find him over the border in Marlow at Danesfield House Hotel.
This 7 day festival of first class food will be an immersive dining experience with all the the kitchen action streamed live into the restaurant, so you can see how to the pros put your dishes together (mind your Ps and Qs, boys). Monday to Saturday suppers will include five delicious courses expertly paired with wines, priced at £150 per person. Sunday is a fab four course lunch also with paired wines, and priced at £90 per person.
Sold? Me too. Like, totally. I’ll be reviewing the Shay Cooper&#8217;s opening night to check it out (I’ll put it straight on the blog), but knowing The Vineyard and the calibre of the chefs, I’m very confident to recommend it.
