<p>Waving goodbye to what was formerly the Gregory + Tapping wine and cheese bar in Windsor Royal Station, a new swanky bistro bar officially opened this month, serving everything from handmade savoury crêpes and sweet waffles to cheese boards, hand sliced Iberico jamon, wine, coffees and teas. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/creperiedouxsourire" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Creperie Doux Sourire</a> promises more of what we loved at G + T, including plans to host wine tasting events in the future. Scrummy.</p>



<p>RYND in Wokingham permanently closed in March, but it looks like we&#8217;re not going to have to wait long to see a new eatery take its spot in the Town Hall building. Hallelujah! <a href="https://www.instagram.com/fare.eatery/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">FARE</a> will soon be swooping in to give the good people of Berkshire what they deserve. Good. Food. Not much has been announced yet so watch this space.</p>

Seems like Wokingham is the hot spot to be right now as later this year new café, <a href="https://luckysdiner.co.uk/our-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lucky&#8217;s Diner</a>, will be swinging open its doors, serving the likes of burgers, wraps, steak, fried chicken, loaded fries, milkshakes, and waffles.</p>



<p>Oh, but that&#8217;s not all. No, no, no. Located in the heart of Wokingham, <a href="https://www.theweddingstudioberkshire.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Wedding Studio Berkshire</a> is set to be home to a thoughtfully curated edit of timeless bridal wear for the modern bride. Forget about the generic and traditional, owner Emily will be offering some of the best independent, female-founded designers from the UK and across the globe in her welcoming boutique bridal shop. Opening next month!</p>



<p>Speaking of boutiques, Marlow-based indie women&#8217;s clothes shop <a href="https://www.moochboutique.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mooch Boutique</a> has strutted its way into Berkshire, opening a new store at Daniel Department Store in Windsor this month. Time to max out the credit card.</p>

<p>The Beehive at White Waltham is ushering in a new era! Creative Chef and head of the establishment Ruchi Mehrotra will be meticulously curating a menu of global dishes, reimagined with exciting Indian flavours in the hope of maintaining their Michelin Guide status, and even getting their hands on a coveted star. The name of the dining concept is to be revealed and the pub is currently closed until 21 May for refurb. We can&#8217;t wait.</p>



<p>And&#8230; it&#8217;s open! <a href="https://www.sirencraftbrew.com/our-venues/reading-bar" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Siren Craft Brew&#8217;s</a> first flagship bar in Reading has officially poured its first pint. Find 28+ lines of beautiful brewery fresh beer, plus wine cocktails, and a tempting menu of street food dishes like small plates, burgers, and loaded fries.</p>

<p>Over at French and fancy <a href="https://lortolan.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">L&#8217;Ortolan</a> near Reading, there’s a new sheriff in town. New Head Chef Jamie Pearce will be taking over the reins from James Greatorex on 4 June. But it’s certainly not his first rodeo. Jamie has worked at a number of Michelin Star and renowned eateries including Cliveden House, Moorhall, Whatley Manor, The Black Rat, and most recently The Montagu Arms’ fine dining Terrace restaurant.</p>

Culinary Harmony promises a night of gastronomic excellence with six whole courses to savour, each eclectically paired with fine wine. <p>For something totally bonkers, the new topsy turvy tasting menu at Heston&#8217;s three Michelin twinkler <a href="https://thefatduck.co.uk/topsy-turvy" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Fat Duck</a> in Bray might be more your bag. Throw caution to the wind. It&#8217;s a completely backwards menu where you&#8217;ll start with a whacky pud before working your way to the savoury stuff. Willy Wonka would have a field day. <p>Ed Sheeran‘s been boozing in Henley again. The Grammy Award winner downed shots on a friends stag do at <a href="https://theoldbellhenley.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Old Bell</a> recently, and even posed for pictures with the landlady and her daughter. Ed’s known to be a fan of Henley pubs, having been spotted on the Henley Ale Trail in 2019. Perhaps he’ll grace the main stage at the Festival one of these days. Everything crossed.</p>

<p>Who run the world? Girls! We&#8217;re so proud to see that Reading&#8217;s <a href="https://www.leightonpark.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Leighton Park School</a> has become the first ever senior school to partner with charity Her Game Too, aiming to encourage girls participation in football and compounding their continuing dedication to the promotion of girls in sport. Since January, the school has offered professional coaching delivered by Chelsea FC after school, and now 80 girls are involved in the game. I sense a future Lioness in our midst&#8230;</p>

<p>Splish, splash, we&#8217;re crying into the bath. We&#8217;re gutted to learn <a href="https://www.cavershamlakes.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Caversham Lakes</a> has officially closed due to issues with planning permission and won&#8217;t be opening this summer.
