2021 fashion collabs you need to know
When high fashion met high street. Here are the new season fashion collabs we're lusting after (with surprisingly affordable price tags).
Simone Rocha x H&M
Babydoll shapes, feminine puff sleeves, whimsical lace, delicate embroidery, pearls – if you’re in need of little bit of escapism (aren’t we all) then H&M’s latest collab with Central Saint Martins and Fashion East graduate Simone Rocha is just the ticket. The full collection drops 11 Mar, but we’ve already got our eyes on this statement tulle blouse and sequin number for our June 21 debut.
Barbour by ALEXACHUNG
Thought Barbour was exclusive to the red trouser brigade? Think again – the luxury British outerwear brand has had a serous injection of cool thanks to IT-girl Alexa Chung. Paying homage to the brand’s traditional equestrian and country heritage, the wax jackets have undergone a style revamp with new modern shapes including the trench and shacket.
GANNI x Levi’s
Fashion eds are big fans of GANNI and so are we. The Danish brand has teamed up with fellow cult favourite Levi’s for its second ever collaboration with revamped versions of classic Levi’s styles – think floral denim and subtle acid-wash – plus stand out denim dresses featuring GANNI’s signature big collars – ideal for your next Zoom call. The collection also packs sustainable creds including organic cotton and recyclable packaging.
Louis Vuitton x Maison Tamboite
You mean you haven’t always wanted a Louis Vuitton bicycle? A partnership with Maison Tamboite (if you’ve ever fantasised peddling around Paris on a traditional French bicycle – it was probably one of these), the handmade bike is fully wrapped in LV monogrammed leather with shiny red wheels and an LV motif chain. Okay, okay so this one isn’t exactly affordable at an eye-watering £20,200, but it sure is pretty to look at.
Gucci X North Face
High fashion meets technical outwear in this unusual collaboration that had streetwear fanatics and fashion fans alike virtually queuing for hours back in Jan to be the first to get a piece. Seventies inspired and featuring big, bright florals and colours, the collection includes North Face’s coveted down jackets alongside onesies, backpacks and even a Gucci monogrammed tent – because, why not?
