<p>Where to eat out in Windsor you ask? For grown up chefy&nbsp;food, head out of town. Chef Adam Handling&#8217;s destination gastropub,&nbsp;<a href="https://berkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/the-loch-and-the-tyne-old-windsor/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Loch and The Tyne</a>&nbsp;is in Old Windsor and was awarded the highly prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand award this year for their great quality, great value cooking. It&#8217;s simple, but with real frill factor. On the menu you’ll find the likes of venison, monkfish, pie of the day, mac and cheese, and steaks. There’s a tasting menu for those who want it all (no judgement), plus a Sunday lunch menu, kids menu, set lunch menu, and a decent plant-based offering.</p>

<p>At <a href="https://www.onriver.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Plate at No. 6</a>, you&#8217;re practically eating on the King&#8217;s front lawn. Saunter down the cobbled streets just off the castle and escape the hustle and bustle. It&#8217;s the best tapas in Windsor. I&#8217;m a mega fan of the simple menu of Mediterranean small plates that put the emphasis on flavour, freshness, and communal scoffing. The open kitchen and lime washed walls are uber chic, with the rustic leather seating and earthy tones underlining its hush yet buzzy ambience. Psst, the Spanish meatballs and triple cooked patatas bravas are heaven.</p>

This banging gastropub is loved by galloping gourmands and fans of fuss-free food with a simple menu of family-friendly grub. There&#8217;s something for kids, a stonking value set three-course lunch, brunch and the Sunday Roast is legendary. It&#8217;s little wonder they&#8217;re featured in the prestigious Michelin guide, celebrated for its use of the best of the British larder and its appealing mix of dishes. The outdoor garden is pretty unbeatable when the sun decides to shine too.</p>

Expect a menu of artisan sushi including sashimi, nigiri, and uramaki, plus a range of small bites, curries, salads, stir fries, and bao buns. </p>

Yep, they&#8217;re to die for. It&#8217;s a wholly authentic Italian experience on Peascod Street where each dish is prepared using ‘ricette della nonna’ or grandmother’s recipes.
