My son is there currently, and my daughter did her VIth form years there. They both love(d) it. Having come from a Montessori school background, me and their mum wanted a school where there was good pastoral care, but also freedom for individuality, in a respectful environment. Leighton Park has exceeded our expectations. 
To sum up in a sentence or two, Leighton Park is all about encouraging excellence in individuals, but with a strong emphasis on self-respect, respect for others, and respect for the environment. 
I only wish I had had the opportunity of a school like this when I was of that age. Can&#8217;t speak highly enough of the place really. 
I am also hopeful &amp; optimistic that the new head will take LP onwards &amp; upwards.

My daughter and I schlepped around a lot of schools in Reading and the surrounding areas before deciding that this was THE school! No regrets&#8230;.she&#8217;s blossoming and enjoys the gentle and respectful approach to life and learning. She&#8217;s learning to take responsibility for herself and for her own education as well as to problem solve rather than learn by rote. I wish I&#8217;d gone to a school like this. And yes&#8230;.the food sounds fabulous!

Both my boys attend Leighton Park aged 15 and 16. One just joined Lower Sixth and the both love the school. As parents we are so happy we made the change for them both to attend.
Everything about the school is positive and great for their future schooling success.
The food is out of this world the children are very lucky.
