A fresh take on fluting
The fluting trend in bathrooms may be changing, but it’s not going anywhere. This style is a hot shot on glass elements like shower screens, pendant lamps, and wall lights. It’s a small, simple detail, but the effect really packs a punch, adding timeless elegance, texture and depth to your space.
Mixed brassware
Mixed brassware is all the rage right now. It’s a trend that involves using multiple metal finishes within a single bathroom space, like pairing brushed nickel basin taps with a brushed bronze shower. The result is an easy on the eye scheme that creates interest. Plus, each brassware type will mature, and some will even develop their own patina over time.

Light it up
Forget your bog-standard ceiling lights. People want their lighting to work harder, and as a result, we’re seeing a rise in mixed lighting schemes, including a combination of pendants, wall lights, underlighting, and sensor lighting. This is the perfect trend for those wanting to create a stylish yet practical space.
Adding variety with vanities
If you’re unsure where to inject your colour, vanity units are a cool and sought-after option. Although pastels also look good, deep, rich tones are where it’s at. As interior trends follow fashion trends, we’re expecting brown and yellow to soon emerge as the colours of the season. Watch this space.

Pops of pink
The Barbie-effect is still going strong and thinking pink is making a comeback in bathrooms. For the past several seasons, green has taken centre stage. However, the use of pink tiles is becoming increasingly common, especially for feature walls. Additionally, pink panelling is a popular finish too.
Shape over pattern
Tile it up! We’re definitely seeing an emerging trend for tiles which add interest through shape rather than pattern. After a huge amount of demand for heavily patterned tiles over recent years, the move is now to more neutral tones in pentagonal, hexagonal, and even triangular formats.
