<p>Proudly rooted in tradition, the original village shop dates back to the Victorian era where for forty years it was the main supply of groceries, haberdashery and more for locals. Now, not only is Goswell &amp; Bird’s a community hub for coffee and cake meets, but inside you’ll find everything from everyday essentials to premium seasonal produce. Grab a pint of milk (old school style with a creamy top), fresh bread, fruit and veg. There’s an incredible selection of cheeses and cured meats from artisan producers, plus local beers, wines, and gins.</p>

J &amp; S Rook is a family butchers with over 35 years of experience, and here you&#8217;ll find everything from the finest cuts of steak and fish to the absolute <em>best</em> minted lamb. Trust me on this one. There&#8217;s a fabulous deli with deli meats, pate, free-range eggs, daily fresh cooked pies and a variety of olives. Plus, don&#8217;t miss their twice weekly fruit and veg deliveries. It&#8217;s my family&#8217;s go-to, and a pillar of the local community. Jerry and his team will go out of their way to give you the warmest of welcomes, all too happy to dish out advice, prep meat to your liking, and carry your bags to the car too.</p>

<p>So much to love about Stanlake Park&#8217;s gorgeous nectar. In fact, this wine estate is one of the oldest producers in England, having been producing award-winning wine since 1979. The initial 500 vines of 30 different varieties have since ballooned to 10,000, occupying a whole 25 acres of the estate. Find everything from your whites, reds, rosés and oranges, plus the sparkling sort. It&#8217;s wine that&#8217;s easy to drink (a little too easy, whoops), and is available to buy online or from their cellar shop.</p>

Village Maid Cheese is an artisan producer started by Anne Wigmore in 1986, and now her and her son Jake continue to create first class&nbsp;fromage&nbsp;using locally sourced ingredients. Everything&#8217;s handmade and they&#8217;ve won more awards than Meryl Streep. Their semi-soft cheese Wigmore won top 16&nbsp;cheese in the world&nbsp;at the&nbsp;2023 World Cheese Awards, and their Spenwood took 8th. It&#8217;s basically the Oscars of the cheese world. They supply the Duke of Wellington’s Stratfield Saye House, luxury hotel Heckfield Place, and London’s iconic Neal’s Yard Dairy to name a few.</p>
