Rosebourne, Aldermaston

This garden centre packs in a lot more than flowers and ferns. With an extensive food hall, gifts, homeware and restaurant, it’s an unexpected day out.

Garden centres are wonderful things and Muddy fave Rosebourne in Aldermaston is one of the absolute best in the area.

Here you could quite easily spend an afternoon mentally doing up your garden with their huge range of flowers, plants and fauna. Water feature over there, Clematis over here and a sumptuous sun lounger to lay back in and enjoy it all.  Also, the staff are super savvy and can guide you through the best picks and what to plant, whatever the season.

They also have a brilliant service – the planting station. Simply choose your pot and plants and a member of the Rosebourne team will plant it up for £3. Just leave everything with them and it will be ready for you to pick up once you have finished browsing. No mess. Everything planted in the perfect spot for maximum impact. Instant garden gratification. Love, love, love it.

Even if you’re lacking a green thumb, you can pick from perennials that are ideal for the laxest of gardeners (that’ll be me). before browsing through a range of gifts, homewares and its rather epic food court (completely stuffed with local produce and specialities).

Then, after all that exhausting shopping, step into the restaurant serving up seasonal food and a rather fab afternoon tea (scones for all!) They also have plenty of special offers and events, making it the perfect spot to take your mum and dad for a big slice of cake.
