Pura Pilates, Padworth Common
Small classes, expert instructors and a warm, supportive atmosphere – Pura Pilates is a boutique Reformer Pilates studio well-worth knowing about.

Looking like something straight out of a glossy lifestyle mag, Pura Pilates officially opened in October 2025, bringing a slice of Costa Rican calm to Padworth Common near Reading with its gorgeous boutique reformer Pilates studio designed for every age, ability and fitness level.
Unlike intimidating mega-studios with rows upon rows of reformers, Pura Pilates keeps things intentionally intimate with just five people per class. The result? Plenty of personalised attention, hands-on guidance and a genuinely welcoming environment whether you’re a total beginner or already fluent in the language of core engagement.
Leading the classes are instructors Donna and Rachel, whose combined experience creates the perfect blend of energy, precision and encouragement. Inspired by the Costa Rican philosophy of Pura Vida meaning “pure life”, sessions are designed to suit different abilities and goals, and there’s two different varieties on offer. Mindful Flow is ideal for beginners, those returning after injury or anyone wanting a gentler, slower-paced session focused on breath, stability and body awareness. Meanwhile, Dynamic Flow turns up the intensity slightly with flowing sequences designed to strengthen, energise and deepen your practice while still remaining accessible and low impact.
The studio is also rehabilitation-friendly. Clients complete a medical questionnaire before their first class and, depending on injuries or pain concerns, a private 1:1 session may be recommended before joining group classes. It’s thoughtful, tailored and reassuringly expert-led. Classes are priced at £25 per session, with membership packs available for those looking to commit long term and save. Fancy testing the waters first? New clients can enjoy 20% off their first class using the code PURA20.
Private sessions are also available outside the regular timetable for anyone looking for a more personalised approach, and there’s free parking onsite too (a Muddy gold star in our books). Easy, breezy, and Pura Vida energy from start to finish.
