Go Ape, Bracknell

Not many activities cater for all ages from toddler to teen and beyond, but the adrenaline-fuelled tree top adventure Go Ape in Bracknell, is one of them.

Sick of staying indoors, take it outside and discover your inner chest-beating Tarzan (minus the loin cloth) at Go Ape, the most brilliant adventure centres for all ages.

It’s Mother’s Little Helper in the school holidays as a place to take the kids to let off steam – and as a mum of 2 boys (with an 8-year age gap), Go Ape has got my back. There’s a 1hr Junior Tree Top Adventure (suitable for kids 1m+) with wobbly bridges, intricate crossings and a zip wire finale… Wheeeeee!

Fancy something more challenging, there’ also a 2-3hr High Ropes Course (ages 10+ and 1.4m+ tall), that takes you 30m off the ground to endure, I mean enjoy, high speed zips, tarzan swings and crossings that’ll make your knees knock. Adrenaline junkies will love it.

Want to stay a bit closer to the ground? No problemo, you can fly round the forest on an all-terrain Segway. Gather your tribe explore the trails on two wheels and soak up the spectacular scenery.

Go Ape is perfect for families, grown ups looking for a laugh a minute activity, and a fun prequel to hen party hedonism, It will test your balance and bravery, so expect lots of squeals, laughter, some tears and an undignified landing off the zip wire. Just me? Ah well.

With 33 locations across the UK, you’re never too far from a Go Ape, but if you’re in Berkshire – Swinley Forest, Bracknell or Black Park Country Park, Uxbridge are the closest. There’s a handy cafe on site too.
