There’s been a trend in recent years for turbo-charged farm shops. The days of grabbing a few punnets of strawberries and heading home are long gone. These days they’re bonafide day-trip destinations.

Cobbs Farm Shop & Kitchen in Hungerford totally gets that – case in point, a lovely kitchen café offering breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. Everything is homemade and much of the produce is locally sourced. It has lovely shopping options on offer including quality plants and flowers from Sarah Styles, homeware, gifts and kids stuff too. Not forgetting the Kids Play Barn – an upmarket soft play for little ones to let off steam.

Alongside the usual fruit and veg in the Farm Shop, you can buy local ciders, beers and artisan wines. There’s a good cheese and deli counter, and quality butchers. It’s a one-stop foodie shop. You’ll find lots of picnic benches and outdoor seating to soak up some rays while you scoff some lunch. They hold a host of events as well – there’s an Indian Street Food Pop-up one Friday a month (upcoming dates include 3 & 31 May, 5 July, and 2 Aug), and their next Open Air Cinema is on Sat 20 July and will be Barbie. There’s a Sausage Making Workshop on 15 May, Little Fish Sushi Tasting on 3 May, and BBQ Workshop and Evening on 19 Jun.
