Englefield’s Cobbs Farm Shop & Kitchen, housed in a series of beautifully converted barns, is a foodie destination. Arrive hungry and head straight to Cobbs café to choose from breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea menus or opt for a homemade cake and coffee. Everything is homemade and there’s a strong farm to fork ethos here. If you’re there on a Sunday, it’s got to be a roast, surely! And with their own team of master butchers, you can be sure your meat is carefully prepared, fresh and local. If you can’t stay, everything on the menu can be taken away.

Then head to the delights of the farm shop. Alongside the usual fruit and veg, you can buy local ciders, beers, gins and artisan wines, including Alder Ridge Vineyard’s English sparkling wine. There’s also a great deli counter, quality butchers and a zero waste, refill station of store cupboard basics. It’s a one stop foodie shop. You can pick up plants and flowers from florist Sarah Styles too. 

 However, if you can’t make it to Englefield, do not despair. There’s a Cobbs at Home service, which delivers items handpicked from the farm shop. Choose from Afternoon Tea for Two, Sunday Roast at Home (including wine!), Artisan Cheese & Charcuterie, Côte de Boeuf (for two) or the a Thinking of You gift box. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly deliveries can be arranged at discounted rates or treat a loved one with a delicious gift.
