It’s the brunch life for us. Artichoke Café first opened its Pangbourne site in October 2023, two years later in Dec 2025, cutting the ribbon on their lovely Crowthorne eatery too. Inside, it’s an aqua dream. A welcoming, cosy ambience that’s garnered quite the foodie reputation among locals who flock seven days a week to get their chops around the beautifully dressed, Instagramable plates and healthy lineup of nosh.

The menu is a greatest-hits of comforting crowd-pleasers: think egg royale, avo on toast, goat cheese & spinach toastie, pancakes, and lunchtime burgers served with coleslaw and chips. It’s all fresh, homemade, and crafted using seasonal ingredients. The smoothies are fab, and of course, there’s outstanding coffee. Priorities.

Service here is notoriously friendly, and understandably, come weekends you’ll find yourself playing musical chairs to bag a seat. Definitely book in advance. Both Artichoke Cafés are dog-friendly, and at the Pangbourne location, there’s a lovely outdoor seating area for topping up your Vit D in the warmer months too.
