<p>Love an arty party? The&nbsp;<strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.freshartfair.net/" target="_blank">Fresh:Art Fair</a></strong>&nbsp;returns to Ascot Racecourse this week. For first dibs get a ticket for the private view on Thursday, but you can shop the art until Sunday. You&#8217;ll find 40 galleries, representing 400 artists with more than 4,000 pieces on sale create by superstars like Banksy, Emin, Hockney, Dali and Grayson Perry and more affordable rising stars. For the first time, the show will also feature a unique outdoor sculpture park. Prices start at £100 or less going up to £30,000+. </p>

<p>Turner Prize nominee<strong>&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://whatsonreading.com/venues/museum-english-rural-life/whats-on/ingrid-pollard-there-and-then" target="_blank">Ingrid Pollard’s There &amp; Then</a></strong>&nbsp;exhibition is a gallery intervention at The MERL in Reading (until 30 Oct). Using the museum’s collection of poleheads – ye olde markers for meetings – Ingrid extends the idea that notions of place come from co-operations, gatherings, and intersections. They are constantly being made and remade afresh.</p>

<p>I know it&#8217;s only September, but Oktoberfest kicks off this weekend at The Market House Reading. Slip into your lederhosen and strap on the beer goggles because this could get messy.
