This is seriously *hot off the press* stuff people. I am sitting here surfing away with my cup of tea and have literally just stumbled across Jules Hogan on Twitter. I thought her things were so gorgeous they deserved a mention, so I’m bashing out a quick blog post to share the love. Even though it’s still Mother’s Day as I type this, and I should be enjoying my cup of tea at leisure. That’s dedication record breakers.

These beautiful cushions caught my eye immediately, knitted in Jules’ garden studio in Berkshire on her hand powered standard gauge knitting machine, this blanket stripe cushion in zinc from £65 is inspired by vintage blankets and has a honeycomb texture. It’s got a pillowcase closure at the front and is available in two sizes: 40cm x 40cm and 45cm x 45cm. Here’s the back, and a close-up…

I really love these simple ponchos too – perfect for this time of year when the weather’s getting slightly more optimistic and you can get away with chucking on a poncho or a wrap, rather than your goose down padded all-weather gear. The ponchos are available in (l to r) Zinc, Oxford Blue and Cobble and cost a very reasonable £85.

Jules says she is inspired by what surrounds her, architecture, art and nature but is particularly drawn to tradition, geometrics, striping and reworked Fair Isle patterning, updating them with the use of colour.

The fabric for every piece is produced on her re-conditioned, knitting machine. It is then pressed, carefully washed to slightly felt, dried, pressed again and then sewn to make each individual item – resulting in a premium hand-finished product. Jules only uses the finest British materials including super soft Scottish spun lambs wool and cashmere. Lavender and wheat grown and dried in the UK, and British sourced duck feather cushion pads. We’re talking Luxury with a capital L.

These hot water bottles (£45) come in loads of colour ways and different stripes and would make gorgeous presents.

And who doesn’t love a wrap?! Especially when it’s this beautifully made and £95 for such a generous size (w 58cm x l 175cm.)

There are more products, colours and styles to choose from on Jules’ website, so do take a look. Everything’s available from her online shop. What an absolute FIND!
