<p>Jason Segel and Harrison Ford front Apple TV’s newest comic offering which is like a blend of&nbsp;<em>After Life, Frasier&nbsp;</em>and<em>&nbsp;The Shrink Next Door</em>. Segel plays a grieving psychotherapist grappling his way through his own mid-life crisis while dishing out brutally honest (and slightly unethical) tough love advice to all his patients. Though&nbsp;<strong><em>Shrinking</em></strong>&nbsp;comes from the same funny minds behind&nbsp;<em>Ted Lasso</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Scrubs</em>, don’t expect the same levels of laugh out loud moments – this is an altogether more macabre affair but, trust us, it’s a must watch.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><em>Grayson Perry’s Full English</em></strong>, Thur 26 Jan, Channel 4</h2>

<p>In this new docu-series, the glorious Grayson Perry takes to the UK roads with his white-van-man friend, Kirk, in search of items and inspiration for his new exhibition on what it means to be English today. Along the way he meets an assortment of Brits, from the founder of the British Druid Order in the West Country to the defender of the Kent shoreline from migrant crossings, this will make you cringe and love to be British in equal measures.</p>

<p>In need of a laugh? Well Channel 4’s newest series&nbsp;<em><strong>Everyone Else Burns</strong></em>&nbsp;will provide all the rib-tickling you need (and that is only in part due to the bowl haircut Simon Bird is rocking). In it Bird plays the patriarch of a puritanical Christian family preparing for doomsday by saving as many lost sheep from eternal damnation as possible. The hilarious Kate O’Flynn, Lolly Adefope, Al Roberts, Kadiff Kirwan and Morgana Robinson also star – honestly, who knew armageddon could be this funny?</p>

<p>Need something to fill the&nbsp;<em>Glass Onion</em>&nbsp;shaped void in your life? Check out&nbsp;<strong><em>Poker Face</em></strong>&nbsp;written by&nbsp;<em>Knives Out</em>&nbsp;creator, Rian Johnson, and starring the eternally cool Natasha Lyonne. She plays Charlie Cale whose party trick is being able to tell when someone is lying, a trick which lends itself very well to solving crime. With more celebrity cameos than we have fingers (Adrian Brody, Chloë Sevigny, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Judith Light, Tim Meadows, Ellen Barkin, Dascha Polanco to name a few), this comedy drama should be at the top of your watchlist.</p>

<p>In the wake of her recent death, this 2018 documentary revisits the legacy of punk rocker, rebel, campaigner, designer and all out queen, Vivienne Westwood. If you missed it the first time around this is a fantastic watch where Westwood, in her own colourful and startlingly honest words, tells her remarkable story. Featuring fabulous archival catwalk footage which will inspire you to rekindle your love affair with all things punk, you’ve been warned.</p>

<p>Jenny from the block is back and with her an all star cast including Lenny Kravitz, Josh Duhamel and our other favourite Jennifer, Jennifer Coolidge, (stealing the show as usual.) Darcy (Lopez) is all set to marry Tom (Duhamel) in a lavish ceremony in the Philippines, cue the onslaught of family dramas, ex-boyfriends, wedding jitters oh, and a boatload of gun-firing-grenade-throwing pirates (yes you heard us correctly) – this is not your average romcom and therefore perfect Friday night viewing.</p>

<p>From the producers of&nbsp;<em>Killing Eve,</em>&nbsp;this brand new series flips the script on all the usual superhero movie tropes – the result, something rather extraordinary. The gorgeous Máiréad Tyers plays Jen, a twenty something woman who is the only person in the world without a superpower. The series follows her journey of self discovery in hilarious and heartwarming fashion. With appearances from Siobhán McSweeney, sans her&nbsp;<em>Derry Girls&nbsp;</em>habit, this is wholesome bit of fun to help see you to weekend.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><em>Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World</em></strong>, Sat 21 Jan, BBC Two</h2>

<p>We can all thank Romesh Ranganathan’s radio show for making us fall back in love with hip hop. This new immersive documentary tells the history of the music with archival footage, interviews and a banging soundtrack (of course). Kicking things off in 1960’s America where you’ll learn just how influential hip hop has been – prepare to have your mind (and your speakers) blown.</p>

<p>When serial sitcom-spinner Kenya Barris is joined by Jonah Hill, Lauren London, David Duchovny, Nia Long, Julia Louis-Dreyfus&nbsp;<em>and</em>&nbsp;Eddie Murphy you can expect some laughs.&nbsp;<strong><em>You People</em></strong>&nbsp;see cultures clash when two LA millennials (Hill and London) from different backgrounds fall in love and face the trials and tribulations of meeting each others parents. It’s funny, it’s awkward and it sure as hell ain’t subtle – watch for the leading cast and the legitimate (if a little obvious) observations on racial and cultural differences.</p>

<p>The OG Sarah Michelle Gellar has already conquered vampires and in this supernatural teen drama series,&nbsp;<strong><em>Wolf Pack</em></strong>, she takes on (you guessed it) werewolves. Based on the book by Edo van Belkom, a group of teenagers start developing, uh hum, wolf-like tendencies after a wildfire draws a bloodthirsty creature into the neighbourhood (eek). Stay with us, as all the howling at the moon, grizzly wolves aside, the series explores issues of teen mental health in a fresh and fun way plus, it’s great to see Gellar on TV kicking butt again.</p>
