<p>Kicking things off with the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/bossa_uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Boss(a)!</a>&nbsp;Not too much has been revealed about this yet other than Chef Alberto Landgraf is bringing a taste of Brazil to London. Riding the wave of success from his restaurants in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (the latter of which hit 47 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants List, just saying) this will be Landgraf’s first international restaurant and we’re expecting big things. He’s previously worked with top chefs Gordon Ramsay&nbsp;<em>and</em>&nbsp;Tom Aikens so you’ll get why we’re waiting with bated breath and empty tums for Bossa. <p>Chef Eran Tibi is bringing the über cool vibes of Tel-Aviv to&nbsp;<a href="https://ilonarosehouse.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ilona Rose House&nbsp;</a>with his newest venture&nbsp;<a href="https://kapara.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Kapara</strong></a>, opening this&nbsp;<strong>February.</strong>&nbsp;The large space will seat 70 in the main dining area, (which is also home to a raised stage for live performances), and 50 out on the terrace with the basement serving up a more intimate feel and private dining experience. Food-wise expect an Israeli influenced menu with a Tibi take on the classics (Quince of Hearts –<em>&nbsp;</em>celeriac fondant, ox heart tartare, olive caviar, spiced quince, cured quail egg – and Winter Ceviche – Mediterranean Grouper in Granny Smith Tiger’s milk) with an accompanying Israeli inspired drinks list perfect for vibing to the live performers or one of Tibi’s own&nbsp;<a href="https://open.spotify.com/user/1130755587?si=Ybq8BfbmTQeFmC2Wk7fq1Q&amp;nd=1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">debaucherous playlists</a>&nbsp;that he’s become renowned for (along with his cooking of course).</p>

<p>Battersea Power Station is home to a whole host of stars and, from&nbsp;<strong>February,&nbsp;</strong>award winning chef Henrique Sá Pessoa will be serving up the goods atop the art’otel with his jewel of Iberia,&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://www.joiabattersea.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">JOIA.</a></strong>&nbsp;Inspired by his Portuguese heritage and travels around the Iberian Peninsula, Sa Pessoa has curated a menu of unique dishes using the best of both British and Iberian produce. Dishes like braised Iberian pork cheek with apple &amp; turnip puree and wild mushroom rice with Azores Island cheese can be enjoyed alongside a view of London from the 15th floor of the art’otel. The bar, found on the 14th floor, is a destination in itself. The glamorous space (uh hum, designed by Russel Sage Studios) offers an inventive selection of cocktails which complement the elegant surrounds, the rooftop terrace&nbsp;<em>and</em>&nbsp;infinity pool (yep, you heard that right!) Catch us poolside from Feb.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-midland-grand-dining-st-pancras">Midland Grand Dining, St Pancras</h2>

<p>A tried and tested collab is opening the&nbsp;<strong>Midland Grand</strong>&nbsp;this year in one of London’s best hotels, the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/lonpr-st-pancras-renaissance-hotel-london/overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">St Pancras Renaissance.</a>&nbsp;Chef Patrick Powell and property developer Harry Handelsman have worked together before at The Chiltern Firehouse and on Powell’s own restaurant Allegra in Stratford so we’re expecting big things for this next venture. All we know so far is&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/midlandgrand/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Midland Grand Dining</strong></a>&nbsp;will take the place of The Gilbert Scott within the hotel, that it will consist of a restaurant, bar and private dining area and the design (above), everything else is pretty hush hush so until it opens early this year we’ll be picturing ourselves at the bar, martini in hand, until we can do so for real.</p>

<p>Joining the many culinary delights that foodie haven Borough Market has to offer is cook and writer&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/cynthia.uma/?hl=en-gb" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cynthia Shanmugalingam</a>&nbsp;and her restaurant&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://www.instagram.com/rambutan_ldn/?hl=en-gb" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rambutan</a></strong>. The 60 cover spot on Stoney Street will scale two floors, serving up a medley of spicy Sri Lankan and fresh Tamil flavours (zingy Jaffna lamb curry with creamy coconut dahl). As you can see, Cynthia’s really put the work in to curate&nbsp;<strong>Rambutan</strong>&nbsp;and we cannot wait to read her love letter to her heritage through the food – for the time being though we will covet her debut cookbook (also called Rambutan) until the restaurant opens&nbsp;<strong>early 2023.</strong></p>

<p>A Muddy fave pop-up is laying down roots and we couldn’t be more excited. Matthew Scott from&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl89RoBIJQu/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hot 4 U</a>&nbsp;fame has teamed up with Wingnut Wines’ Charlie Carr to bring us&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/papi.restaurant/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Papi,</strong></a>&nbsp;a mash-up of Scott’s experimental cooking and Carr’s underrepresented natural wines. Though the menu will still feature Scott’s trademark creative cuisine (Fermented Pumpkin Cappelletti, Curried Crab Cubanos, Nduja Butter Oysters) fans will see a new sense of maturity and a sprinkle of sophistication to his dishes fitting of a permanent spot on the Hackney high street. <p>Dropping in west London’s Kensington Highstreet in the new year (<strong>20 Jan</strong>),&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://www.bigmammagroup.com/en/accueil" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jacuzzi</a>&nbsp;</strong>is the next big thing from Italian restaurant group Big Mamma. As with all things Big Mamma, the interiors will be grand and glamorous with a retractable glass ceiling on the mezzanine and a disco toilet in the basement – we know straight where we’re heading… then there are four floors to explore. The menu promises just as much intrigue with staples like lobster risotto alongside more innovative creations like red gurnard and cuttlefish and pizzetta topped with Italian white sturgeon Caviar.</p>
