<p>If you, like millions of others, binge watched Netflix documentary&nbsp;<em>Tiger King</em>&nbsp;in lockdown, Louis Theroux’s 90-minute revisit to his 2011 documentary&nbsp;<em>America’s Most Dangerous Pets</em>&nbsp;where he first met Joe Exotic, will serve as something of an epilogue. Joe Exotic is, of course, now incarcerated and Theroux aims to unpick his downfall and in doing so, meets up with his nemesis, Carole Baskin.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Australia: Earth’s Magical Kingdom (BBC Two) – Sun 11 Apr</h2>

<p>This three-parter nature documentary, narrated by Barry Humphries no less, is a spectacular reminder of the harsh extremities of the Australian continent. Of course there will be spiders and snakes but there are also supercute marsupials and landscapes of epic proportions. And also, Barry Humphries.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trip Hazard: My Great British Adventure (C4) – Fri 9 Apr</h2>

<p>Comedian Rosie Jones takes various guests on this four-parter travel show around the UK’s beauty spots and wilfully subverts the expected behaviour you should assume, when, say, you’re being shown how a traditional Cumbrian sausage machine works. In episode one, she takes&nbsp;<em>Gogglebox</em>’s Scarlett Moffat to the Lake District and silliness ensues. Olivia Coleman narrates.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Snabba Cash (Netflix) – Wed 7 Apr</h2>

<p>Not a rapper from 1992 but actually Swedish for ‘easy money’. This new Netflix original is based on a 2006 book, which then fuelled a 2010 film adaptation and is now being turned into a six-part series. Essentially, it’s about how disparate lives – a businesswoman, gang member and teenager – get intertwined in the desperate pursuit of money, all set in the bleak Stockholm underworld. Get ready for a good dose of Scandi gloom.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Thunder Force (Netflix) – Fri 9 April</h2>

<p>What would happen if really ordinary people got superhero powers? Well, they turn into Spiderman, right? Or the Hulk? Or, as is the case in this Netflix Original full length comedy, they become Thunder Force – scientist Emily Stanton (Octavia Spencer) and her best friend Lydia (Melissa McCarthy), who has accidentally found herself in possession of new, powerful abilities. Now they just have to save Chicago…</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Wellington Paranormal (Sky Comedy) – Mon 5 April&nbsp;</h2>

<p>If you love Taika Waititi (<em>Thor: Ragnorok, Jojo Rabbit, Hunt for the Wilderpeople</em>) and Jermaine Clement (<em>The Flight of the Conchords</em>, the crab in, erm,&nbsp;<em>Moana</em>), you will think this mockumentary horror/police investigation spin-off from&nbsp;<em>What We Do in the Shadows</em>&nbsp;is just hilarious. Not only did the pair create it but they’ve been executive producers throughout and – finally – series one to three has made its way over from New Zealand. However, if you don’t recognise any of the words above, you’ll probably just find it very weird.</p>

<p>Do you want to see the Covid pandemic dramatised with the help of some glossy looking Americans? Well, look no further as&nbsp;<em>Grey’s Anatomy</em>&nbsp;is back for its SEVENTEENTH series *phew* and this time the staff of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital have got a killer virus on their hands. They’ll be romance, drama, oxygen masks… the lot.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Persona: The Dark Truth Behind Personality Tests (Sky Documentaries) – Sat 10 Apr</h2>

<p>Myers Briggs Personality Tests are now de rigueur in the corporate world but this HBO documentary asks whether all human beings really do fit within 16 categories of personality and if it’s ethical and non-discriminatory to award jobs on account of people’s answers to what is essentially a quiz. If you’ve got children entering the job market soon, it might be worth a watch.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Palm Springs (Amazon Prime)&nbsp; – Fri 9 Apr</h2>

<p>When a film has a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and two Oscar nods for Best Picture and Best Actor, you should probably give it a go – even if it does look slightly ridiculous (science fiction romantic comedy, anyone?).&nbsp;<em>SNL</em>&nbsp;alum Andy Samberg is one of two guests (the other being Cristin Milioti) that meet at a Palm Springs wedding and get stuck in an infinite time loop. It’s meant to be truly brilliant. What else is there to say?</p>
