<p>Ooooh, we’ve been waiting for this one!&nbsp;<em>Bridgerton’s</em>&nbsp;Phoebe Dynevor (read our interview&nbsp;<a href="https://muddystilettos.co.uk/arts-culture/exclusive-interview-the-colour-rooms-phoebe-dynevor-kerry-fox/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>) swaps stately homes for the potter’s wheel in industrial 1920s Stoke-on-Trent in this brilliant new Sky Original film.&nbsp;<em>The Colour Room</em>&nbsp;follows the early career of pioneering ceramicist Clarice Cliff, who broke down gender, class and style barriers to become one of Britain’s most celebrated artists thanks to her bright, playful designs. Matthew Goode, all twinkly eyes and dapper moustache, stars alongside as Colley Shorter, Clarice’s boss and later husband, plus extra points for an incredible female team behind the scenes – director Claire McCarthy (<em>The Luminaries</em>) and BAFTA award-winning scriptwriter Claire Peate,&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://muddystilettos.co.uk/arts-culture/film-tv/the-colour-room-sky-original-claire-peat-interview/" target="_blank">who we interviewed here</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Princes And The Press, BBC2, 22 Nov</h2>

<p>This two-part documentary sees the BBC’s media editor, Amol Rajan, investigate the different relationships Prince Harry and Prince Philip have had with the press. The first episode looks at the period after the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and the narrative of an emerging new royal generation, before turning to the impact of the phone-hacking scandal. Royalist or republican, it’s an interesting contribution to the ongoing royals/media convo.</p>

<p>From the (frankly, legendary) makers of&nbsp;<em>Wallace and Gromit,</em>&nbsp;<em>Shaun the Sheep</em>, and&nbsp;<em>Chicken Run</em>&nbsp;comes this Christmas short that’ll charm the socks off you in half an hour, flat. Robin is a young robin (no surprises there) who was raised by mice, and wishes to be one for real. Hijinks ensue when she attempts to follow the mice in sneaking into a ‘hooman’ kitchen.</p>

<p>A familiar sports-movie narrative made refreshingly female-heavy, thanks to Halle Berry’s directorial debut and strong acting in the central role. Jackie Justice (Berry) is a disgraced, former top MMA fighter for the UFC who gets a second chance at rising the top. Things are complicated by the sudden appearance of her young son, who she must look after, and a less-than-savoury current partner.</p>

<p>Say it with us:&nbsp;<em>Father, Son, and House of Gucci.&nbsp;</em>Adapted from a 2001 book about the Gucci family, this star-studded film is serving some va-va-voom visuals and a killer performance from Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani, the woman who romanced her way into the Gucci dynasty. Al Pacino, Salma Hayek, Jeremy Irons, and Adam Driver also star, and with a director like Ridley Scott (<em>Alien; Gladiator</em>), it’s safe to say our interest is piqued…</p>

<p>Sure, she can sing, but Adele also shows off her casual comedian chops in this laugh-out-loud, moving special — if you missed it on Sunday, it’s well-worth seeking out. Resurrecting an old staple format of ‘An Audience With…’ (last seen 2011), this has Adele serenade and entertain an audience of Stormzy, Samuel L Jackson, Dawn French, and so many more celebs it’d be ridiculous to list them, who all ask her questions. If nothing else, watch for the moment Adele — reunited with an old teacher — cries her makeup off, and so forces Alan Carr to sing&nbsp;<em>Make You Feel My Love</em>&nbsp;while she has it touched up.</p>
