<p>As we can’t go to the cinema, studios are bringing the cinema to us and this Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan period drama – loosely based on British palaeontologist Mary Anning (and the&nbsp;<em>very</em>&nbsp;speculative romance she may have had with Charlotte Murchison) – can be streamed into your home for £13.99. Directed by Francis Lee, who was also behind 2017’s&nbsp;<em>God’s Own Country</em>, it’s so far received good reviews from a very limited showing, but judging by the success of Carey Mulligan’s&nbsp;<em>The Dig</em>, we’d say that female archaeologists are having a bit of a moment. And if you don’t dig that (couldn’t resist…) the movie was filmed in Dorset – so prepare for some gorgeous Jurassic Coast backdrops.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Storyville: Undercover OAP – The Mole Agent (BBC Four) – Mon 22 Mar</h2>

<p>This documentary has been shortlisted for this year’s Oscars and follows 83-year-old Sergio Chamy, a recently widowed Chilean man, who is recruited by a private detective to go undercover in a nursing home to investigate allegations of abuse. Sweet and charming but also terribly poignant (it comes a few weeks after Rosamund Pike’s&nbsp;<em>I Care A Lot</em>&nbsp;– stylistically it’s a universe apart but both raise issues around care of the aged). The big reveal this time is actually the residents’ abject loneliness. Well worth 90 minutes of your time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">This Is My House (BBC One) – Wed 24 Mar</h2>

<p>Stacey Dooley is heading up this new show which has been pitched as a mix between&nbsp;<em>Through The Keyhole</em>,&nbsp;<em>Would I Lie To You?</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Gogglebox</em>, which sees her step out of contentious TV and very much into prime time<em>.</em>&nbsp;Essentially, four people try to convince a celebrity panel (Bill Bailey, Emily Atack, Jamali Maddix and Judi Love) that the home the cameras are panning around belongs to them – but only one of them is the true homeowner and the other three are actors. There’s a cash prize for the contestants who can outwit the actors and convince the judges. Sounds fun, right? And also: nosying around other people’s homes. What’s not to love?</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Black Power: A British Story Of Resistance (BBC Two) – Thurs 25 Mar</h2>

<p>This looks like an interesting and important watch. The brilliant Steve McQueen has recently brought the topic of the UK’s Black Power movement back into the fore thanks to his Small Axe series and this 90-min documentary uses archive footage and interviews from activists (then and now) to focus in on the ingrained racism festering under everyday life in the 1960s and 1970s.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who Killed Sara? (Netflix)&nbsp; – Wed 24 Mar</h2>

<p>This Mexican crime drama series is picking up quite a lot of interest and if you like crawling the walls in suspense, it might be just your thing. A man (<em>Narcos</em>’ Manolo Cardona), who was framed for killing his sister and spent 18 years in prison, is finally released and vows to exact revenge on the true perpetrators. Twisty, nail-biting material made – better have the cushion ready to hide behind.</p>

<p>Could be a bit of a tearjerker, this. Liam Neeson is teaming up with his actual real-life son Micheál Richardson on this comedic full length tale of a father and son, who, grieving the death of their wife and mother respectively, return to Tuscany to sell the family’s second home. Micheál, you might remember, lost his mum Natasha Richardson when he was just 13 and has said that filming this story has helped him process the grief. Tissues at the ready.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hausen (Sky Atlantic) – Fri 26 March</h2>

<p>This horror series has been shipped over from Sky Germany on account of it being rather good, so grab your cushion again (to hide behind) and settle in. The premise: a 16-year-old boy and his dad move to a down-at-heel apartment block at the edge of the city where the father works as the building’s caretaker. But things – like babies – are going missing. And evil seems to emanate from the walls…</p>

<p>Remember when Beyonce came out with the&nbsp;<em>Single Ladies</em>&nbsp;video and broke the internet? Yeah well, Tina Turner and the Ikettes were doing that sort of thing decades before. This documentary is an intimate portrait of a woman who overcame – notoriously – domestic abuse and various other tragedies to stage an almighty comeback in the 1980s and cement her status as a global superstar.</p>
