<p>Okay, so you might not be a rev-head, but you have to admit, there&#8217;s just something so damn sexy about the classic, sleek curves of a vintage motor. Hello Chevy Corvette. It&#8217;s a step back in time to a bygone era, and meandering past the hundreds of oggle-worthy automobiles at the<a href="https://classicmotorevents.com/more-info-beale-park/"> Classic &amp; Retro Car Show</a>, the passion of the owners is unquestionable. This is more than just a collectors hobby &#8211; it&#8217;s a lifestyle. And it&#8217;s infectious. At the show taking place on <strong>1 Oct</strong> at Beale Park (near Reading), expect hot wheels from every decade &#8211; dinky Minis with go-faster stripes, VW camper vans, supersized Hummers, and of course your ultra-stylish sports numbers. It&#8217;s your chance to get up close and personal to the metal like never before.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kids rejoice</h2>

<p>When the cool cars aren&#8217;t holding their attention any longer, you don&#8217;t have to call it a day. No no no. The fun&#8217;s just getting started. The little ones will go bonkers for the bouncy castles, slides, soft play area, and free face painting. And if that&#8217;s not enough to drum out the nipper&#8217;s pent-up energy, on the lawn there will be free garden games including croquet, hula hoops, quoits, and Jenga. It&#8217;s a family affair where the kids can run wild (and you can have a breather after watching them like a hawk around that seriously expensive paintwork). Oh, and did I mention, kids under 16 go absolutely free! Yep you heard that right.</p>

<p>Is there really a better spot to roll out the picnic blanket than the gorgeous grounds of Beale Park in Pangbourne? The show will be pitching up (or should I say parking up) by the beautiful lake for you to lap up while you stuff your face with luxury nibbles. And if you didn&#8217;t bring a hamper, don&#8217;t worry, there will be food vendors selling yummy homemade goods, including a sweetie shop, dotted around to grab some glorious grub too. Lots of shopping stalls run by local, small businesses will also be in tow for you to have a good old mooch.</p>

<p>Satisfy your inner speed-freak with the ultimate head to head clash &#8211; radio-controlled truck racing. Competition will be stiff and loser tears guaranteed (from the adults most likely) as you take on the track from behind the remote control. It&#8217;s totally free and so fun you&#8217;ll want to shove the kids out the way to give this one a go &#8211; especially as there are trophies on the line for the winners. Lewis Hamilton eat your heart out. </p>



<p>On the day, there will also be an interactive arena with commentary on the real cars and various other competitions, with the official award ceremony taking place at 3pm.</p>

<p>Autumn doesn&#8217;t have to mean hunkering down indoors in anticipation of the colder days to come. From 10am to 4pm, the great outdoors is yours for the taking, and you can bring the dog too. What&#8217;s even better though, there will be a DJ on site playing all the bangers from the 50s, 60s and 70s, plus live music and performances galore. Okay festival vibes! We&#8217;ll start practicing our Rock&#8217;N&#8217;Roll moves now.</p>
