Situated in the rural village of Hampstead Norreys, 7 miles north of Newbury, Manor Farm Courtyard Cottages – owned by the lovely Betts Family – is a hidden rural gem offering four luxury grade II listed cottages. Based on Manor Farm it’s the perfect country retreat for holiday makers or those looking to base them with easy access to the A34 and M4.

The cottages, created out of the old stables and hayloft, sleep two or four people with sofa beds for any stowaways – perfect for romantic getaways or bigger get-togethers (Psst! A number of guests stayed here for Pippa Middleton’s wedding in 2017).

The cottages each offer something unique and are all kitted out in modern rustic style – original exposed beams, contemporary shaker kitchens, luxurious bathrooms, comfy beds with quality bed linen.

In terms of amenities, you couldn’t ask for more: The White Hart pub is a very short walk away, the Hampstead Norrey’s Community Shop and Courtyard Cafe is on your doorstep serving lots of lush local produce, cakes, newspapers, wine, beer. It pretty much has everything. Plus there’s a hair salon, if you your a quick spruce.

Beyond your home from home, there are plenty of lovely West Berkshire walks, cycle routes, the renowned Berkshire Shooting School is nearby and the Queen’s favourite Newbury Racecourse. If that’s not how you roll, then Biscester Village and Oxford are less than an hour away, Highclere Castle and Bucklebury Farm Park might take your fancy.

There’s a two-night minimum stay and prices start at £95 per night.
