Keep the holiday vibes going with a little fake tan and the sexiest bedlinen EVER.

Clothing optional according to Cara (photographer Sonia Sieff)

So that’s it, summer is over and out. Unless you sit too closely to an anglepoise lamp, feeling that blissful warmth on your skin will become a distant memory. The sunshine does seem to bring out the best version of ourselves – a tan always helps, relaxed beachy (read: can’t be arsed) hair, spending most days wearing very little and looking smoking hot (at least in my head) between the white sheets of a boutique hotel.

Yup, summer is by far the season of sexy. But don’t despair, because I reckon the best souvenir is to keep the holiday vibes going at home. Now sadly I couldn’t get Julio in my case and stay within the luggage allowance (or the law), so gin and tonics on tap are not an option, but the boutique bedroom will be mine.

I’ve written about Draper London before. It’s a Berkshire-based bedlinen company, run by working mum of two boys Stephanie Betts and her husband Martin. Now you might think, oh it’s just bed linen. Well your couldn’t be more wrong. It’s a sleep experience. I love it so much I have to wash it, dry it and get it back on my bed in one day. The dark circles and perfect eight hours are mine when I rest my knackered bones next to Draper (not Don, obvs).

You don’t have to take my word for it, Hollywood royalty, pop stars, stylists, influencers and guests at the Mandarin Oriental hotel are all star fishing with pure joy in this boutique bedlinen – and enjoying the best night’s sleep ever. How is that possible? Because it feels so blinkin’ expensive it’s like couture for your bed.

Oh and they do towels too. The fluffiest white towels, like, EVER. And as if that isn’t enough, then this could be the clincher – monogramming, baby (£2.50 per letter). Stick to a monochrome palette and you’re back in Copenhagen, pump up the neon to keep the Ibiza dream going, subtle pastels whisk you off to Provence and with classic navy, you can dream of the Hamptons.

The range is all white (as all bedding and towels should be, in my opinion), with coloured grosgrain trims on the pillowcases. The limited edition neon pink is a sight to behold. And now you can add another splash of colour with a pop of personalisation. Not only are you reclaiming your zzzz, but your pillows and towels too – marking your territory like a tomcat.

Want to know more? The duvet cover has a French tail opening (no fiddly buttons, hallelujah) which tucks under your mattress. If you have a duvet thief – *cough* that’s me – it stops the inevitable tug of war. The fitted sheets are deeper than average, everything has a size label (no more furious rummaging in the laundry cupboard) and fabrics that get better after multiple washes. Basically, it’s made to last.

It’s also affordable. Yes not all luxury comes with a hefty price tag – especially when we are giving you lovely lot am exclusive 25% discount. The Discovery set (duvet and two pillowcases) starts at £99.50; Hero set (duvet, fitted sheet and pillowcases) from £149; and Indulgent set (duvet, fitted sheet and four pillowcases, two with a single) starts at £173.50. All the products are available individually too. Personalise is available on towels (from £19.50), face cloths (£6), bathmats (£32.50) and pillowcases (£24.50).

So get your sexy back: A little fake tan, a goblet of gin and tonic, then lie back and think of summer. When the temperature drops and it’s piddling down, you may cry ‘in your dreams?’ – but what a dream, and the reality of bring your own perfect bed will be heaven.
