Fashion gets personal with the trend for emblazoning your name across your T shirt, handbag or phone case. Think school uniform name tags but cooler!
I love a bit of personalisation – it makes purchases feel that little bit more special, doesn’t it? While it used to be reserved for the super-rich with their monogrammed Louis Vuitton trunks, now us normals can get involved without forking out a fortune. I’m currently eyeing up these très cool Maison La Biche T-shirts. You can get your name daintily embroidered on the front, with various colourways available. They’re not exactly bargainous at 70 Euros per pop, but I’d be tempted to save on oversea delivery fees by popping over to Paris for le weekend and checking out their store in the Marais. Which, um, technically doesn’t exactly save you money but why not make a holiday of it?!
Talking of Paris, I was there at a fashion week party recently – yes, I hate me too – and noted that every stylish celebrity in sight was wielding a Chaos phone case, emblazoned with their initials. The kitsch brand, the brandchild of superstylist Charlotte Stockdale, also does personalised stickers for your phone charger – a total winner if work colleagues or pesky teenagers in your household keep nicking yours.
Sophie here at Muddy is a big fan of new-ish Brit brand Azurina – you can get their moon-shaped clutch bags monogrammed with initials for just £30, while we’ve written before about Bucks designer Rae Feather’s cheery personalised raffia bags – one for your summer holiday wishlist.
Finally, like all journalists I’m obsessed with notebooks and right now Papier is my new favourite personalised stationery crush. This one, in sexy pink and red colour-blocking below, has got my name written all over it. I mean, literally.
