It’s a girl’s world

Millie Pink's girly accessories are so cute, colourful and cool it make my ovaries ache.

Millie Pink Hair Ties, £8

It’s a girls’ world! And look how cute, colourful and cool it is. As a mum of boys. looking at Millie Pink‘s bright hair ties, iron-on patches, pom poms and jewellery, makes my ovaries ache. But I have no intention of popping out another sprog in the hope of scratching that particular itch. To hell with it, I’ll be putting these hairbands and patches on my Christmas list.

Pimp my wardrobe with iron-on patches, £5.75

Millie Pink is the brainchild of Kirsten Milbank, a Berkshire mum of two who with her daughter Millie love all things sparkly and bright. When they discovered hair ties could be gorgeous, glam and fun, they were on a mission to spread the love.

The hair ties are not only funky, they’re also kind on your hair and head. No painful ponytails here. Plus they don’t cut off your circulation when you ping them onto your wrist. Happy days. Better still though, someone loving party girls have used the hair ties to distinguish wine glass ownership (just in case things get really messy). Ticking all the boxes.

Pom pom paperclips, £6.75; Star Necklace, £8; Flamingo pom pom keyring, £5; Hello Beautiful purse, £15.

Millie Pinks are handmade in Berkshire with oodles of love and patience! Each hair tie is made from a super soft and stretchy fabric that is hand dyed making each tie unique. Kirsten scours the globe for the sparkliest elastic in the most mouth-watering colours and funky prints.

Unicorn Snot Lip Gloss, £7

Although the range started with hair ties, the  collection has expanded to include Unicorn Snot Lip Gloss and Gel, Neon Hair Chalk and Nail Polish, cute jewellery, purses, stickers, and more. It’s a dreamy candy floss world of happiness, with most of the collection costing less than £15, so the Millie Pink range is perfect for gifts, stocking fillers and the occasional treat.

Short of borrowing someone else’s daughter, I’m embracing the Magpie in me. Come here my pretty and brighten my day.
