The really wild show
On the prowl for this season's hottest print? Leopard is a cult classic given an AW18 reboot. Enter the fashion jungle for Muddy purrrfect picks.
If there’s one AW18 trend you can tame right now, it’s animal print. Although my head is turned by sassy snake prints and bold zebra stripes, I’m a leopard that doesn’t change her spots. But there’s a fine line between channeling Kate Moss and Kat Slater, so keep your cool, it’s a jungle out there. To help you go wild for animal prints –Enough puns? Nah – here are Muddy’s purrrrrfect picks, available to buy right now…
Whistles Jungle Cat print Jumpsuit, £143.20

Wear it with trainers, boots or heels and the new season is nailed in one purchase. Plus Whistles is offering 20% off right now, so you don’t have to pay the £170 full price. BUY NOW
How cool is this?! For the days you just want to dip your paw in to this mahoosive autumn trend, Gift Pop’s new Moggy bag is a stunner. Mint Velvet Handkerchief Skirt, £99
Red alert! A leopard won’t be changing its spots this season, but it will be changing colour. Sometimes I find Mint Velvet is bit fussy, but this skirt is amaaazing. Great colour, great length and looks fab with sandals, trainers, boots or heels. Any item of clothing that you can wear a gazillion ways, gets my vote. Not just a one-season wonder. BUY NOW
Lolly Laundry @ Jax Jeans co-ord, £150
Lollys Laundry is a cool Danish brand that’s all about understated luxury with a hint of nostalgia. Featured in British Vogue, it’s now being stocked at Jax Jeans in Hungerford. The beauty of a co-ord is that you can wear head to toe or mix and match, depending on your mood. Loving this a rich green leopard print – the top is £60 and the cropped trousers are £90. Just add a Martini and you’re good to go. BUY NOW
Adidas Superstar Trainers, £84.99
You cannot beat a pair of Adidas Originals to add a bit of urban edge to an outfit. Despite the name of the site, you’re more likely to see me in Stan Smiths than tottering about in heels. So I’ve popped these leopard trim Superstars on to my wish list– given an AW18 reboot with a hint of big cat. Also handy for anyone who’s not feeling the animal attraction. BUY NOW
Somerset by Alice Temperley @ John Lewis Blouse, £79
Boho babe Alice Temperley has been designing her Somerset by Alice Temperley collection for John Lewis since 2012, and her leopard print pieces for AW18 are to die for. Beautifully cut in a silky viscose fabric, this pussy bow blouse, £79, is a show stopper, there’s also a round neck shirt dress, £99, and the most stunning long sleeve maxi, £140, I have ever seen (sold out online, keep your eyes peeled in store). Marks and Spencer Leopard Jumper, £35
Summer is over and out and it’s all about great knits. Marks and Spencer’s cashmere is phenomenal (and has a fab leopard version) but sometimes the budget doesn’t stretch that far. This bright pink jumper, £35, (available in beige too) is not only bang on trend but people will see you coming on those darker evening. Fashionable and safe. Winning. BUY NOW
If there’s a cheap, easy way to pimp up your outfit, grab a scarf. This blue leopard print with pink stripe is from Gift Pop, £18, and is available in 7 colours – a traditional neutral leopard print with red, grey and pink trim, a grey print with yellow trim and the blue, pictured above. The scarves are big, super soft and for anyone who wears a lot of black, navy and grey (er, me), it makes everything look a little less like a uniform. BUY NOW
Topshop Leopard Print Suit, £110
Yes, Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger probably wore something similar fun 1969, but who cares? This retro-inspired, statement suit is phenomenal. Not for the faint hearted, but people will be turning heads for all the right reasons. It’s made from 100% polyester, so probably best to steer clear of roaring fires. Are your brave enough wear head to toe red leopard (*cowers behind the changing room curtain*). BUY NOW
Mango skirt, £49.99 and Shirt, £49.99
If you’re going to cheat on leopard with any other print, snake gets my vote. Seriously loving Mango at the moment (*whispers* more than Zara, EEK) and this shirt-skirt combo looks lush. The fabric is floaty, the cuts are super-flattering and you can mix and match the shirt with jeans and trousers and the skirt with jumpers and t-shirts. Not sure I’ll be adopting the cowboy boot trend, but I’ll slither to the check out for a colourful bit of snake. BUY NOW
