Tuck in! Guide lists top rated restaurants in Berks
We've got your foodie wish list right here - the AA Restaurant Guide 2022 is hot off the press and it lists 24 stellar local restaurants
The one Berkshire restaurant that managed to achieve the highest rating – of five rosettes (given to 17 restaurants across the UK) – is The Fat Duck in Bray. The accolade means the inspectors felt the cooking was up there with the world’s best restaurants… Heston will be pleased!
One retained its four rosette status, which means the cooking demands national recognition – Restaurant Coworth Park in Sunningdale.
Seven Berkshire eateries got three rosettes. Brand new on the list is L’Ortolan in Reading – the town’s only Michelin star restaurant. It’s sitting among some of our Muddy faves: Cliveden Dining Room, Taplow, Hind’s Head in Bray, The Waterside Inn in Bray, The Vineyard Hotel in Stockcross, The Crown Burchetts Green and The Woodspeen in Newbury.
The guide lists 1,800 restaurants by county and has been running since 1956. It featured a haul of other Berkshire eats – here’s the full list of the one and two rosette rated:
