Muddy’s literary salon returns!

Henley, we're coming for you! Henley Literary Festival on Saturday 6 Oct, to be precise. Keep it free and take a gander at our amazing line-up.

Lots of you have been asking us if we’re going to do another Muddy Stilettos literary salon and the short answer is HELL YES! The longer answer is that following the amazingness of our collaboration with Thame Arts & Literature Festival last year (remember?), this time we’ve gone bigger, bolder and even more brilliant. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosting a Muddy Stilettos takeover at the prestigious Henley Literary Festival, at Phyllis Court, on Saturday 6 October at 7pm. Yippee!

Tickets are available here but first things first – wanna know who’s coming? We’ve snaffled a stellar panel of three dazzling writers – Viv Groskop, award-winning comedian and author of The Anna Karenina Fix: Life Lessons From Russian Literature, Farrah Storr, Cosmopolitan editor and author of The Discomfort Zone: How To Get What You Want By Living Fearlessly and Caroline O’ Donoghue, writer for The Pool whose Promising Young Women is one of the most acclaimed debut novels of 2018.

Our terrific trio will be grilled about their careers, lives and who they liked best on Love Island (OK, maybe not that last one) by Muddy’s founder Hero Brown and associate editor/pro-bookworm Kerry Potter. And you too will get chance to ask our authors questions or chip in with your thoughts, have a selfie with them or get your books signed (there’ll be a pop-up bookshop on the night).

Obvs, being a Muddy event, there will also be lashings of champagne, goodie bags and a laid-back Saturday night out vibe. You absolutely don’t need to have pre-read the books or know anything about the authors to come along. And you can participate as much or as a little as you like. Rest assured, we’re very inclusive here at Muddy and we like to mix our high-brow debate with a liberal dose of low-brow silliness – so please don’t let the word “literary” put you off.

And – bonus! – the brilliant Bryony Gordon is speaking later that evening, at 9pm, at the same venue, so why not make a proper night out of it? Grab your friends, book club squad, mum, or anyone who likes reading/talking/laughing, and we’ll see you there.

Did I mention tickets are on sale NOW? They’re just £10 each (plus a £2 flat fee booking charge).
