I’m going to put it out there, I’m rubbish at anything that involves arts and crafts. Oh, I like the idea of it – being handy with a sewing machine, running up a pair of curtains, printing fabric, trying to create something unique on canvas but it always looks crap and the disapproving looks of my old art and textiles teachers come flooding back. *Shudder*.
It was something of shock that I decided to hop onto a block printing lampshade course.

The Ladybird book is a symbol of our childhood.
It’s been such a crazy year so far that I somehow forgot to tell you some really amazing news from *cough* last month. Oops!
So it’s a massive and heartfelt thank you for those of you who suggested Muddy Stilettos as the UK’s Best Arts & Culture Blog before Christmas, because guess what? We’ve only gone and made the Finals, one of only eight companies in the whole of the UK.
