Wouldn’t you though?
If you’re dropping hints like a crazy person for a lovely gift that satisfies your inner magpie and ticks the thoughtful box in a non-cheesy way – look no further. Love Scarlet is a stunning range of jewellery that’s a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.
Scarlet Page started her jewellery business five years ago when she wanted to give personal gifts to friends and family. A trained jeweller specialising in silversmithing, her first pieces were little initialed charms. Since then her collection has grown – heavily influenced by nature and organic shapes, form and structure.
Think twig brackets, acorn charms and leaves. The end results are elegant, tactile pieces that have a local connection to the South Oxfordshire/ Berkshire area where Scarlet finds her source material. Each one coming with its own story.
The big acorn was discovered while visiting her daughter’s new school, she kept hold of it in the hope it would bring her luck – and cast it in silver for her daughter to keep. The little acorn followed when her son popped into this world. The twigs are from her garden, the sycamore leaves were a favourite from her grandmother’s house, and so it goes on. In fact, Scarlet is passionate about creating jewellery that locks down a memory for special occasions such as Valentine’s Day, christenings, births, moving house and … just because! So Mr Muddy, pay attention, no garage carnations this year, I want shimmery twigs.
You’ll find Love Scarlet on Not On The High Street and Easy, but for the full range have a sneaky peak on her website. Scarlet’s currently beavering away in her studio working on new designs. So watch this space.
